Unless I find something I like better at an affordable price, I’m going to get a Pool Skim. Rather than connecting to a suction intake port, this product connects to a return.
I have a 20k pool with 3 returns. The skimmer is at the deep end of the pool (8’). Should I connect this to a return at the opposite end of the pool (shallow) or would it be most efficient at one of the other returns?

Thanks in advance for your response!

Wind is your biggest factor for skimming. Stuff on the surface will get pushed by the wind more than any other factor.

Where is the current skimmer located (NSEW)? Where do the prevailing winds come from?

If your winds come from the west, you want your skimmer on the east side facing the west. Wind will push stuff to the skimmer.

Hope this helps.

Current skimmer is on the south wall, but wind direction changes every few days. I'll have to check some data to determine if there is a prevailing direction. If I had to guess, I'd say NE.
