When to put in acid?

Starting to fill our new pool today. They filled the spa first and are now filling the pool. My question is, do I go ahead and put my muriatic acid and Startup-Tec in the spa before the equipment is turned on or do we wait for pool to fill, turn equipment on and do it all at once?

You must wait for the water to be to the middle of the skimmer and the pump running before you can add anything.
