When can I use robot cleaner?

New white plaster done 8 days ago. Chemicals are pretty much balanced and there doesn't seem to be any plaster dust. Been brushing twice a day.

We're getting into pollen season where I live so there's a lot of debris, leaves, etc starting to collect on the bottom.

I have a Apier scuba S1 cleaner. When can I let it do its thing? I don't want the debris to cause staining of the new plaster.

Use a brush and net for debris.

I'm more afraid of scraping the plaster surface with the net support

Seems like a pool brush is way more abrasive than a robot cleaner? Can't figure out why this is the recommendation to wait 30 days

• It’s VITAL to perform each step in this guide. Do not skip around. Download the PDF for a printable startup card.
• NEVER mix water into chemicals. Always mix chemicals with water.
• Don’t shock the pool for the first 30 days.
• Don’t swim until the water is balanced.
• Do NOT use a pool heater until all plaster dust has been removed from the pool. This can typically be accomplished between day 4 and day 10.
• Do NOT use these devices until AFTER the 28 days startup is complete. They may damage the new finish or get clogged due to plaster dust:
  
  • Wheeled Devices
  • Automated cleaning systems—built-in or robotic
  • Chemical Feeders OTHER than Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) and pH Controllers
  • Salt-water generators (Waiting up to 6 weeks to add salt may be beneficial)

Your plaster is cured. No reason not to use the net.

Why no wheeled cleaner for first 30 days? Plaster is sufficiently hard once the pool is full of water. Pool cleaners can be installed and utilized after about two days if there is no plaster dust forming. The reason that tracks develop is usually from plaster dust being "packed down" by the pool cleaner wheels and then not removed by brushing. So it can look like an "indention" (and discolored) but it is not an indention. Brushing afterwards can help prevent the plaster dust from sticking on the plaster.
