What's the easiest way to remove scale from shell.

My problem is a good bit of scale build up due to long over due purge (+6 months easy).
I have BioGuard Remedy that I've used before when the tub is empty. Was wondering is there anything I can add while the tub is full and run the pumps to help do the hard work for me prior to emptying the tub. I'm not sure if Ahh-Some will work?
