Wow, I didn't realize you could get these that hot. My brother's Traeger definitely won't sear a steak at 800 degrees.

I don't think I've ever seen a professionally produced commercial make food look more inviting. Wow!

I guess this is the normal process for Costco and when it's time to move product, the price goes down. I have done a nice pork butt, several spatchcock chickens, some of the best smoky burgers I have ever eaten.
This week, I smoked coho salmon. It was low and slow, ~180F for an hour or so, and it make for wonderful meal at lunch today. I did it for me as the wife and daughter said they were not interested.

My brother has the black Weber Genesis andpllljnb emhis CI grates cook and season better than the SS grates. If money would have not played into the equation, I would have purchased a TEC infrared grill. I have read that the TEC can reach temperature of above 800 degrees which is great for cooking steaks and pizza.
We have a Summerset and it also has adjustable Sear burner. They claim it gets up 1200degrees. It is great for searing steaks. We love Pittsburg style Steaks, Charred on the outside and rear on the inside.Cajun said:I am very happy with my lynx grill. I went with the 42" model with 2 standard burners and one proSear. The lynx prosear is one of the only infrared burners that actually adjust its temp range. You can sear anything from steaks and sea scallops. I suggest you take a look at it when comparing grills.
