thank goodness I found this forum!
My husband and I got into this crazy idea that we can take on a DYI liner pool 16x32. As we dug the deep end of the pool, we found that we had a natural pool underneath. To mitigate the water issue, we over dug the deep end and also part of the slope leading to hopper and placed #2 gravel throughout (pic). My question is, what do I use to fill in the overdug sides and slope sections to get the pool ready for the pool floor which will be vermiculite? Given that we need to have the #2 gravel for draining what should I use to fill in between? stone dust, masonry sand or is there any other option? im worried about the compaction. Which is easier for compacting?
Gracias!!
PS - anyone know where I can order Vermiculite and Portland cement?
