What thermistor for Aqua Rite Pro (not the non-Pro)?

I read online that I could put a binder clip across the cracked component to operate the unit while I'm waiting for the replacement part to arrive.
That is for a thermistor.

The part is not a thermistor.

It is a fuse.

Since it is only 2 amps, it probably goes to a low power device like a display or remote.

Remove the display and the main board and look for any signs of damage like brown spots.

The fuse is labeled F3 on the board to the left of the missing thermistor boxed in green labeled R48 on the board.
The markings on the fuse show it is rated 250V 2A manufacturer is Littlefuse, you should test it for continuity to see if it is blown, but the thermistor is definitely blown.

Looks like it's MF72-050D9

Maybe the guide is wrong with the picture?

Maybe the 2 amp fuse next to the thermistor is what they meant?

I have never seen the thermistor go bad, so I suspect that there is probably a different issue as well, but it is probably worthwhile to replace the thermistor to see if it works.

This seems like the part.

Most likely, the description in the troubleshooting guide is incorrect.
