What size to use ?

I'm looking to convert my pool to SWG. I have a 20,000 gal I.G. that gets sun all day. I'm debating over brands and what size to get. Some say 1.5x to 2x is sufficient where others say 2x to 3x. Any ideas on a brand and a size ? I like the Circupool RJ series.

Thanks

Do you have automation or are you planning on installing automation in the future?

if so most folks will get the same brand swcg that their automation is so they can work together.

If you don’t care about automation I think the circupool rj series is the way to go. It looks like https://www.discountsaltpool.com is having an upgrade sale right now. So you could go with the RJ 45 and get a 60 which would last longer or save some money and get the 30 and upgrade to the 45.

Basiaclly the larger you go the cell will last longer and you can either run the pump for a shorter time periods and/or decrease the % of chlorine generated.

In in my opinion 1.5 isn’t big enough or would still run too long. Go with one that is 2x-3x larger.
