What size is this fitting?!

My pump came with this fitting. I assumed it was for 2" pipe, but it doesn't fit inside a 2" pipe.

I also tried 1.5 inch pipe, but there is a LOT of wiggle room and it's not a good fit...

How can I connect to this?

Have you tried it with a 2" or 1.5" coupling?

What brand and model number pump?

What is the ID (inside diameter) of that pipe? Looks like it might be 1.5".

The pipe that is inside the fitting is 1.5 pvc (first two pics). The pipe I'm holding against it is 2 inch pvc, it doesn't fit inside the fitting or over it. The outside diameter of the fitting looks to be just over 2, inside is roughly 1 3/4, but I'm having a hard time measuring it with my tape.

I tried both sizes couplings, neither fit. The pump is a smart clear 1.5 hp that came with our aboveground kit

Looks like a hose fitting rather than a pipe fitting. Looks like a bushing to reduce hose size.
