What is this yellow staining at water level? New pool, salt for SWCG just added yesterday.

Pool guy added 200 pounds of AquaSalt yesterday to get the SWCG up and running. Pool is a little over a month old. I watched on the video and he also poured a solid orange plastic gallon-ish -sized bottle of liquid along the side (which I assume was muriatic acid) and a solid white bottle (chlorine?) right into the skimmer. Here are the stains that showed up right at/an inch above the water line:

You sure the stains are not pollen? Can you wipe it off with a damp sponge?

You're right- I bet it is pollen. It doesn't come off all that easily, though. I can lighten it a bit, but it's still yellow. Anything I can use on it?

Try using a scrubber sponge on it.
