What is this white stuff growing on my tile on rocks

So this is a brand new pool, plaster is three weeks old today and I noticed this white stuff growing on my tile and rick. I hate to think this is calcium scaling, but I wanted to see what you all think:

I do have the TF-100 Test kit and the pool is about 34,000 Gal

So far the test result haven't been to far off, but I have been adding a lot of acid as well as 10% bleach. We are still waiting on the plaster before we introduce the salt.

Here are the result I just ran this afternoon:
PH: 7.5
FC: 1
CC:.5
CH:200
TA:70
CYA: 70

Any thoughts?

It could just be stuff left behind from evaporation, including calcium.

For a plaster pool your CH is too low by the way. Your FC is WAY too low.

thanks, I know the CH and the FC is low, need to buy more bleach tonight and I was concerned about adding more Calcium before I knew what that was.

I get little marks like that too in a few places. Seems to always be where the coping grout is, so it is something that probably rain water is washing out of the grout and onto my water line tile. Based on the second picture, it appears you have the same thing.

That does make since as we have had a lot of rain this week here in Dallas.

any ideas how to clean it off, it doesn't wipe off.

I use a stainless steel wire brush, as in a welder's brush. Make sure your stone is safe for this, as in color all the way through, not a faux finish. I don't have stone, so no worries for me.

And yes, we've had tons of rain. I love it!
