I am opening my pool for the first time by myself and with the parts the pool guys left from closing are TWO of these. I have two returns and two skimmers but I don't know where these go? With the pump or the heater maybe? Thanks for the advice.

I am leaving this post so maybe it will help someone else, but I looked closer and it was obvious they are drain plugs for my pump. Problem solved.

FYI: These do not last forever. I suggest you buy a pack just in case they break.
