What is the acceptable tolerance of level between pavers?

I am installing a 24x54 saltwater lx from pool factory, I have the ground prepped and am in the process of setting pavers into the ground. I am using a transit to level everything. I've got 12 Pavers out of 16 in this weekend and from the lowest one to the highest they are within 1/4 inch. which I feel good about. From one paver to the one right next to it most are around 1/16" but a few are 1/8" and one might be around 3/16" higher than the one next to it. My question is how far out of level is acceptable from paver to paver? I read somewhere that anything more than 1/16 from paver to paver can cause problems. This seems like a very tight tolerance to me but it can be done if absolutely necessary. Just wondering if this effort is worth it as my hands are one giant blister at this point and I still have alot of digging to do in the center area of my grade. Thanks for the help in advance. I attached a pic I took before I started sinking pavers
