Hello,
I just refilled my plaster pool with tap water after having it re-painted (chlorinated rubber paint). I’m about to add 16 kg (35 lbs) of calcium chloride to raise my calcium hardness (currently around 100). I’ve been confidently using the TFP method for several years with great success. I’m just curious as to what happens to the chloride part of the molecule after it is added to the pool. Does the molecule separate and release the chloride or does it remain intact?
Thanks
