Going to have a week of below freezing at night; most of those below 20 degrees.

We have a Polaris pool robot on a booster pump. We plan on running our main pump 24/7 but what do we do with the robot and booster pump? I read that water still moves through the booster but I’m worried it won’t be enough to prevent freezing. We could leave the robot in the pool but I also read that it shouldn’t run under certain temperatures.

So what’s the game plan? We’re going to cover the equipment with a tarp and put an incandescent bulb under it.

Thanks for the help

As long as you have some water flow out the cleaner return you are fine for mild freeze protection and don’t need to run the booster pump with the filter pump.
