What did you do to your pool today?

After heavy thunderstorms on Monday rinsed pollen and dirt off the trees and into the pool, FC had dropped from 8 to 5. I was out of LC so I ran the SWG at 100% overnight to get FC back up and it’s currently at 7.5. Picking up some reserve LC today for situations like this one. The filter pressure also increased those last few pounds to reach the 50% mark, so I cleaned the filter and am also picking up more DE. Liquid CYA arrived today and I added a gallon. Should get me back up to 70+. Sitting at 60ish right now. I ordered an extra gallon just in case.

Tried kicking on the SWG and it's reading standby. I'm going to inch up on 3200ppm of salt to see if that will get it out of the standby mode. The filter is clean so it has great flow. The water isn't cold so it's not that. It just had a battery replacement last year under warranty and the cells aren't dirty. So I believe I'm just a tad under what this finicky thing wants.

That pool looks great. I took some night time pics yesterday and I have two favorite colors. I love the blue lights and the white lights. My granddaughter loves the multi lights so that's usually what is on when we use the pool at night. :deal: I just beg her to let me have the white lights once in awhile. She's 12 now and when she tells me no, I just hold her under water til she changes her mind! Just toughening her up for the real world. In my defense, she's bigger than me and has 50lbs on me so I have to rely on self defense tactics to make her comply. 💪 She wants me to teach her but I don't want her using it on me because that's the only way I can make her scream UNCLE! It's a game we play in the pool. Seriously. :twisted:Screenshot_20250530_065347_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20250530_065405_Gallery.jpg

Can I just say how much I hate that the light is directly over that step out in the deep end creating that shadow!!! Every time I swim at night, I tell myself, That light placement goes in the regret book! Ugh....

Ah - the joy of not having to do anything! I did test the water, if that counts. I have a feeling I’d be battling an algae outbreak if not for the advice of TFP. After thunderstorms knocked pollen and dirt into the pool earlier in the week, FC dropped, but only to 5. I was able to get it back to 10 before any damage was done. I also raised CYA back to 80.

Our granddaughter is spending the weekend with us and I want to make sure everything is just right. Should be a great weekend at the pool!

I brushed and vacuumed, then ran a full panel of tests. All quiet on the midwestern front. 👍

Still waiting Maytronics for the replacement power supply. They claim they’re moving warehouses and can’t ship anything until to move is complete. I’m guessing pay orders are shipping.

Repair is always 'experiencing higher call volume than normal and appreciates my patience', but if i press 2 for sales, they pick up before the first ring. 🤔

*doesn't matter who I called.

Spared 10 minutes of my busy day to pull the solar reel out of the garage and put the cover on the pool. Cranked the heater up to 85 so it's ready for a Monday swim with the granddaughter. Now I have to slave to make myself dinner for work tonight. LOL

They had the nerve to ask for a survey response today. I gladly responded. 😤
