What did you do to your pool today?

Crew came to open things up last Thursday. It was green and full of silt, worms, and leaves... so pretty much as expected for being this late.

But after a few days in SLAM, lot's of brushing and robot duty, it's all clear and passed the OCLT today. Air temps have been cool so haven't run the heater much at all. Likely get it up to 80* for this weekend if the forecast can justify getting in the water. Love having TFP help make this all so easy!

Failed my OCLT this morning. The pool appears clear during the day but at night, you can see the haze and suspension of particulate around the lights. I'll be scrubbing the walls and floor today, and continue the SLAM for a couple more days.

I think @Casey has nicheless lights
Yes. They are nichless. I'll be scrubbing the whole pool down here in a bit. Walls, floor, steps, the ledge and finger/toe ledge all the way around. I'll be brushing it like my momma use to brush my hair when I was a kid!:deal::mrgreen:

A little rain therapy never hurt anyone. Stood outside for 45 minutes brushing the pool down. Why is it when hoodies get wet they are so hard to get out of?!:ROFLMAO:

Just added more chlorine to continue the SLAM. Also took the few toys out that went through the winter. That is probably the reason why I didnt pass the OCLT.

Round 2 OCLT. Let's see if it can pass. I turned the lights on to get my sample and I didn't see the haze that was prominent yesterday. I have a good feeling that it will pass. I'm ready to move onto getting the swg up and running for maintaining FC and opening the bypass on the heater. Just waiting for the completion of this SLAM.

I have to drain water again. We've been getting dumped on here in the Northeast lately. 3rd time I've had to drain so far this year, and I suspect after this round of it I'll need to add more CYA and salt too

Mine is pretty full too. I only had to top her off once before we got all this rain due to excessive backwashing of my DE filter.

After heavy thunderstorms on Monday rinsed pollen and dirt off the trees and into the pool, FC had dropped from 8 to 5. I was out of LC so I ran the SWG at 100% overnight to get FC back up and it’s currently at 7.5. Picking up some reserve LC today for situations like this one. The filter pressure also increased those last few pounds to reach the 50% mark, so I cleaned the filter and am also picking up more DE. Liquid CYA arrived today and I added a gallon. Should get me back up to 70+. Sitting at 60ish right now. I ordered an extra gallon just in case.
