What did you do to your pool today?

Ran a full set of tests (well almost full). Everything looks good, CH is a little low, but its evaporation season so I will be adding lots of water in the next several weeks. That should help bring it up a little.

Water temperature reaches 58F so I hard closed the pool today. It only took about 30 minutes. Drained the pump, sand filter and heater. Turned off the power and closed the gas line. Inserted Gizmos and piece of pool noodles in the skimmer. Tested the water to see final FC and pH numbers. I don't concern myself with blowing lines or any antifreeze. Other than occasionally looking under the safety cover to see if any water needs drained, nothing else to do until around April.

We started working on the landscaping around our new pool. All the exposed dirt blowing in is making it a pain to keep the pool clean, so we’re putting in the beds now and will plant some things in the spring. Two days of hard labor has me needing a break. Yesterday we did all the dirt work and laid about half of the landscape fabric and drip lines. Today we completed a walking path behind the retaining wall that leads from the carport to the back patio. We moved 11 tons of rock today, only 34 more tons to go.

Changed the pump shaft seal in the filter pump. Takes 24 hours for the silicone to cure so will fire it back up tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully it seals up and I don't have to do this again in the near future.

Nice product
Right ?????

For the price of the 2006C (barring a clearance sale somewhere) you get :

1) Stirring device
2) Better allotment of reagents for TFPC
3) Nice case
4) Quick and easy product support if needed
5) Feels from supporting a Mom and Pop (optional / YMMV)

Yet people still buy the 2006C.

I'm just buying the refills. No reason to buy a whole another kit.

It was mid-50’s over weekend so I open up the auto cover and vacuumed out all the Dang worms that seem to find their way in!😡. Want it looking good for New Years Day-many family members coming over for a Polar Plunge!😳.

I ordered my yearly solar pool cover and finally gave in and ordered the hooks to hold the cover, good bye diy pvc holder. Then I broke the bleeder valve off the filter, greatly accelerating my spring plans to pull the filter & pump out of the shed and re-level it. New bleeder valve now also ordered.

On Christmas day we did some yard clean up and leaf removal all around the house so I dumped the leaf net and put it back & cleaned off the deck.
Yesterday, I inspected the water level incase I need to add a little before the upcoming polar vortex to sure my bets against ground heaving damage (my cover is seeping when I pump 😢) and I did a quick fc check while i was at it. Everything is good to go!
