What am I doing wrong?

I have successfully reduced my CYA by draining and replacing. Took a lot longer to replace :). Here are my new values:

CYA - 40
pH - 8+ (took between 5-6 drops to get it to around 7.6ish)
TA - 150
CH - 200

Didn't do chlorine because I haven't added any. Pool is no longer green, but still very cloudy. I'm going to go to the store now any get a bunch of chlorine bottles and some muriatic acid to lower the pH. Any other suggestions/amounts? I'm going to use the poolmath calculator to estimate for now. I think the pool is around 30k gallons, but it's an odd shape with slopes, etc so hard to know exact.

At this point just get the MA and LC. Add MA to bring the pH down to 7.2. If you aren’t sure on the size, add half what it says to and test the pH after it mixes. If it’s not what is expected see what size would have resulted in the change you observe, adjust, and add again.
