Weak pump? Build up?

I have a strong spa S61001, and the pump doesn’t seem to be running properly. The jets on one side of the hot tub look to be stronger than the jets on the other side of the hot tub. There’s only one pump on this hot tub. Does this look like calcium buildup in the lines? Could this be why the jets don’t seem as strong? We’ve already checked an air lock, but that didn’t help and we changed to a brand new filter also. Thanks!

Have you tried removing all of the spa jets and running the pump to flush out the lines of any debris? Spa jets have a small orifice that can get plugged with debris.

Pumps generally work or they don't and not much in-between. If an obstruction slows down a pump motor, the pump motor will usually overheat and shut down.

The exception is when there is an air leak on the suction side of the pump so a lot of air gets into the plumbing reducing the water flow rate.

Thanks for your reply and advice. We have already used some swirl away, but it didn't seem to do much. I have some Ahh-some on order, set to arrive tomorrow. Should I remove all the spa jets and use the ahh-some at the same time, or remove the spa jets first to pump out the lines, then put them back on when using the Ahh-some? Not sure if the spa jets themselves would benefit from a cleaning with the Ahh-some...
