Hello all, we decided to do some renovations and since the pool skimmer had some pool putty patches , we thought replacing skimmer which was about 60 years old is a good star. We hired a pool company which build pools. They have dug to remove the skimmer and put a new skimmer. But water continuously is seeping from beneath the concrete deck to the hole. The big hole gets full every 2-3 hours. They said this is not high water table and never have seen. We don’t have any water lines issue. I thought since the skimmer has been patched the water leaked from the skimmer got trap between clay, concrete and is coming out now. I am not sure how I can download a video though. Any though would be appreciated

Step back and post some pics of where this hole is located. We need more context of its surroundings.

From the video it looks like an underground stream is flowing.

Take a sample of the water in the hole and test it for CYA. If it has CYA then it came from the pool. If no CYA then water is coming from someplace else.

I am assuming you have a good CYA level in your pool.

What does your plaster surface look like and how much water was drained? Looks like it’s seeping through the gunite shell?
