Hi TFP crew:

I have an RS8 Aqualink system and a new iAquaLink that I installed a few months ago that works great! Everything is programmed and has been spot on. TOday I looked down at my pool and noticed the waterfall pump was ON. The weird thing is, there was no light indicator that it was on (I have a wall panel AND a SPA side panel). In addition, my app did not show that it was on. The panel by the equipment did not indicate that it was on either. I then, within the app turned it on and then off -- nothing happened. Then, like 10 seconds later it turned off. How and why would that happen? Very strange. For now, I just unplugged the pump as who knows if this has happened other times without my knowing. Any ideas?
 
"Ghosts" within Aqualink are not unheard of. My light and heater turn themselves on randomly. When it happens they are clearly on within the app though. Are you saying the pump and the JVA both turn themselves on with no indication in the app that they are on?

It is possible that the switch on the JVA is defective. It goes from forward-neutral-reverse. If it was failing, it could have possibly reversed. I would think it would just have stopped though (1 click) and not reversed which requires 2 switch clicks.
