Water softener expert needed

Long story short. I need someone who understands clack valve water softeners.

I have done all the troubleshooting and replaced parts and changed settings. I will go into more details as needed. The issue is the unit is putting too much water back into brine tank during refill stage of regen. I have a Marlo CMCV 45K.

Is the float valve in the brine tank not working? There should be a float valve that basically shuts off the fill line of the brine tank once the water level in the tank is high enough.
