Water Numbers for a SWG Tub

Just wanted to be sure before I take on the task of filling up and balancing our new SWG hot tub this weekend.

Do the numbers in the sticky thread above still apply to hot tubs with SWG? Specifically the CH being at 150?

I know manuals are industry standards, but CH being at 150 is recommended in my manual for non SWG tub and 25-75 CH for SWG.

Just wanted to be sure as the thread doesn’t mention SWG hot tubs.

So the sticky thread about states to raise CH to 150 if well below 100. But if over 100 don’t adjust it. Is this not correct?

That is to prevent foaming. People always want values. Or just wait and see if you have foaming.

Thanks for heads up. I thought maybe there was another reason to have that level of CH.

No. A hot tub is acrylic so calcium is not an issue unless it is too high.
