My water cost $1.914 per 1k gallons
My pool is 2800 gallons.

I did the chlorine overnight test and I lost 3 ppm
Is it even worth trying to fix bad water or should I just drain and start over.

My history with the pool this year was we filled it and forgot to add chemicals.
Went on vacation for a week and came back to a green pool.
I shocked it, used flock, and vacuumed and the water is very clear.

With a pool your size, definitely dump and refill. The link below is perfect for you.

To properly SLAM takes considerable time, effort and chlorine. (Much less chlorine for your low gallons, but still. You’ll need several $4 jugs VS $5.35 in water).

some folks have nowhere to drain, or are unable to fill or it’s very costly to fill. Then we stand and fight. Drain away. :)
