My wife has been reading about using Bio-Dex fast acting Algaecide Skill-It to deter wasp and bees from the pool. Something about water tension. Anyone used this or is it a waste of time..... I'm not to happy about putting it in my pool chems..

Thanks.

Everytime I am out I have a can of RAID. In the beginning of the season I am killing 10 at a time. Right now I am down to 1 every other time. Get a can of RAID and if it flies, it dies.

I put a lane divider in our pool. Wasps land & drink from one side, humans swim on the other. :poke: I wish there was an easy answer to this one. Without fail, I get popped each year, but never in the pool. It's always when I bump a shrub or piece of equipment out back that the Yellow Jackets already started building a nest in. Angry little buggers.

Almost everything you would need to know in this thread...

I have not used the product/method that you listed; however, have heard of that concept. Looking at Amazon, lots of happy customers who have had success using this to deter wasps. Interesting concept...may have to consider myself 🤔

On the contrary, we have had good luck using this Wasp Trap product. The key is to put up several in your backyard at the beginning of the season to catch the queens which then significantly reduces the wasp population. We have had success now 2 years in a row with this product. We usually replace it monthly and make sure the water is topped off.

Good luck!

Yesterday I killed about 40 wasps. As they land on the pool I swat them with my net and drowned them. The day before I killed 30. Today I have not noticed any yet. The population around my house is getting smaller.

Now if I could figure out how to get rid of the nasty biting horse flys.
