Hi everyone! I haven't been able to tend the pool for about a week I have been adding 10 oz chlorine every other day because my usual daily dose is around 5 oz. I came out to clean the pool today as it's been the first day I have had to actually do anything with it. Water was clear but with brown stuff all over. I swept and vacuumed and tested and even though I didn't do anything to the pool for the past 24 hrs my results were:
Fc 5.5
Cc 0
Ph 7.4
Cya 40
I cleaned the filter and it didn't look bad at all which blew my mind but I'm still pretty sure that the stuff in the pool was possibly algae so I have started my slam just to be safe with a limited amount of swimming days left I didn't want to waste time. My question is is it possible there is something else wrong with the water besides regular old algae? I had the cover on the whole time and we got a lot of rain so I'm thinking it isn't pollen. Also the pool sock filter on my vacuum was covered in green (not the brown I expected) just want to make sure I'm on the right track
