Good morning everyone - I have some really fine dust or dirt that settles on the bottom of the pool. If I run the brush over it, it dissipates into the water and it’s gone but it returns the next day or so.

I have had this issue last year but because it was the end of the season didn’t pay too much mind.
On Sunday, I vacuumed and then installed a new filter cartridge that I brought from Amazon.

Before replacing the with the new filter I took the wet dry vac and cleaned out the filter enclosure to remove any junk left behind.

Yesterday I saw this appear. I did perform an overnight chlorine test and it maintained chlorine. Maybe less than .05CC, (it was a very very light hue of purple)

I have some photos attached. Should I just use the wet dry vacuum and clean this as much as possible? I only have a 6 gallon so I have to frequently dump good chlorinated water out so not too happy but will if I need to get rid of this dust.

The test results are from Tuesday.

Hi I have a similar problem from time to time; the dust is fine enough that my robot filter does not pick it up so as you have also experienced it mixes in with the water then settles again later. Since I have no problem with my water chemistry or water clarity, I believe it is just that - fine particulates.
The solution that works for me is to vacuum directly to my sand filter which captures them. If I am lazy, I simply brush towards the filter intake on the bottom which does the same thing in effect.
