No No, the SWCG! I am going to soon be finishing up on the plumbing changes for my new Circupool 2hp VS pump and RJ60 SWCG. It looks like I’ll have enough room to go either horizontal or vertical with the salt cell, and the instructions indicate either way is ok. Question is, is there a preferred way to orient it?
Also, it mentions in the instructions that you should ensure the cord should be oriented up, but later says that for a VS pump it should be inverted for potential lower pump speed / flow operation. Why is it important to have the cord upright in the general directions? Any ideas?

Thanks for any input. You guys are helping tremendously, as I am reading a lot of the site content and learning a ton. I’ve had the pool now almost 30 years, and haven’t looked forward to a swimming season more with the knowledge that I’ve gained here.

swcg can be installed vertically or horizontally with no difference. In the horizontally installed position when used in conjunction with a vs pump some recommend inverting the cell so the belly is towards the bottom. This way when the flow is slowed the plates in the cell will be completely submerged.
