Venting an ODK under covered patio

Thanks plat. I've come to the decision that we will either vent or locate the grill to an open side of the patio. Clearing out some existing landscape soon which should open up the desired location to get a better feel for where an ODK bar/grill counter best fits.

Most state building codes require some type of exhaust system for all covered cooktops and grills. Some like California require a hood assembly.

You should at least know what is required. Call the building department and ask, use your brother in laws address. But find out what is required.
