I just installed a VS pump and was wondering how you all program the pump to work with your heater. Specifically, do you run 24/7 at a certain speed to keep the heater running and heat the water? Do you need more than one or two turns of the water in order to heat the pool? It was pretty simple with my old single speed pump, but would wanted to draw on the experiences from the group.

I think it really depends on how much heat you need to add to your pool and how quickly you want to do it. Realize that turns on a pool is an Antiquated method of estimating required pump run time. Basically you need to run your pump long enough to add the amount of heat that you want to add to your pool
