Ok, so I’ve taken over the maintenance of my pool myself. I have a question about vacuuming the pool. I have ordered a 30’ hose and a vacuuming head. My robot vacuum connects to the side of the pool via a two-piece valve (LETRO) that fastens with a push and a quarter turn. I assume this is where I am to connect my vacuum hose, correct? If so, how does the hose fit into this connection? Is there a fitting that I will need to purchase also?

Ok thank you. How does the hose plug into the skimmer? Do you take the skimmer basket out and use some sort of manhole cover type of apparatus to cover and seal the skimmer hole in order to create a vacuum?
Thanks for the link, I was a bit quick on my original reply, I had posted just before your reply, now I see one merely drops the hose into the skimmer well.
