I'm following slam process and noticed it says too brush and vacuum daily. I have never vacuumed the pool (15 years), I just brush. I use Aquabot to "vacuum" bottom, but don't really want to use it with FC at 25. Not much algae "dust" on bottom when brushing. I assume it gets filtered out running pump 24/7. Filter pressure hasn't risen 20% yet, so no backwash (started with cleaned filter). FC dropped 4 last night so I have a long way to go (pool is clear). Just want to make sure actual vacuuming is not necessary.

Also, started with pH 7.0, I don't mess with it during slam, right?

So long as the robot filters are fine enough to catch what lands on the bottom. Anything heavy enough to collect on the floor likely won't make it to the filter, no matter how often you brush. It will just stir up and drop again a little while later.

Correct. 10+ FC invalidates the Ph drop test. A calibrated meter is ok to use, but really no need.

I've got fine and silt filters for bot. Must be doing OK since not getting much "dust" at all with brushing. I find it a little odd since the slam is definitely killing something (FC drop of 4 last night), yet pool and bottom are clear.
