Vacuum stays in deep end of pool

Hey everyone! Bought a house and for the first time ever I have a pool. Still learning how everything works. It came with a vacuum, not sure how new or old it is. When we bring it to the shallow end ~3 feet it goes all the way down to our deep end 6ft and moves around there only. What should I do to start and troubleshoot this? Springs on the feet are working good from what I can tell.

Pool is about 13k gallons if that matters.

Thanks a bunch!

When you break the sections of hose apart are they straight? If not, that is part of the problem. The hose should always be stored straight, not in a coil, and once they take a set in a curve they can't be straightened.
Do the returns in the pool tend to force the hose to the deep end? That, too, can cause the issue, especially as the cleaner ages.
