I'm pool noob, so trying to educate myself via reading internet sites and forums.
I shocked the pool recently and need to remove dead algae from the bottom. Previous owner left me a cleaner (Barracuda) and robot (Zodiac CX35). Robot is not doing a great job in collecting algae and lights "FULL" indicator after 5 mins of work. I think I need to use Barracuda to clean the bottom of the pool, but I never them before. I would be grateful for a few hint:
- can I connect cleaner through skimmer to main pool pump (hurlcon CX320)? I'm worrying that flow might be too high and cleaner stick to the bottom and pump will burn, or some air can get into the system and damage pump as well.
- If it's possible to connect, ´what sand filter knob position should be configured (Filter, Backwash?)
- Do I need to turn off salt chlorinator during vacuum?
- Is Barracuda is right cleaner? Shall I buy a one of these

I have a salted pool ~30.000-40.000 liters with Chlorinator and one pump.

Welcome to TFP! I have a Barracuda G3 and honestly I don't use it often because with my 2-speed pump it must be on high to work properly and I don't feel like leaving it on high that long. Plus it goes in random areas and there is no guarantee it will hit every spot you want cleaned. But my G3 has an adapter that gets inserted to control suction flow to help balance the pressure required to operate.

As for the vacuum head you have illustrated, I have something similar. Just your standard head for manual cleaning. It works well. Simple connection from head to cleaner and you're off & running. You can vacuum on the filter setting then backwash later, or if you had a lot of debris on the floor vacuum straight to waste.

As a new member, keep in mind to full kill and remove algae, we follow the SLAM Process. You might want to check that out. Hope that helps.
