Vacation question

I get a lot of leaves in my pool and dont want to hassle the neighbors too much, they are going to dump the skimmer basket every few days.

Would it be ok to leave the vacuum out while we are gone to protect the pump? And just collect the leaves in the bottom when we get back?

Not a dumb question at all! How long is your vacation? Sounds like a reasonable plan. If there were any way you could toss a tarp over the pool and secure it well so it doesn't blow in, well that is another protection.

What vacuum do you mean? Mine vacuums to the skimmer basket so it probably wouldn’t help. >.>

Mine goes to the suction of the pump where there is another basket

Oh, gotcha. Do you have any other suction ports in the pool aside from the skimmer? I have a side port in mine and plan to make sure it’s wide open when I’m gone for 13 days.
