Good day!

We are new pool owners and have been loving every minute of it!

We will gone on vacation for 2 weeks in the summer and would love advice on what to do to keep out of trouble with the pool. Currently my levels are pretty spot on for our SWG pool (don't have my most recent readings as I am typing this at work).

I was obviously going to continue to run the pool as I have been and was planning on leaving the cover off (but should I put it on?).

Should I ask someone to check on it while we are away?

Thanks in advance!

Great question! I have a similar question since I'll be going on vacation for a week, and I'm thinking just to have the skimmer/vacuum running as normal, and just shock the heck out of the pool the morning before we leave. For a two week vacation I would assume a friend or neighbor to stop by and check on it.

elwood58, yes I agree with having a neighbor add the MA. I have a neighbor with a pool so they won't be completely clueless :p. any thoughts on the cover? I tend to think that sometimes debris gets stuck underneath it and would rather keep it off so the skimmers can really do their thing. and with the cleaner and skimmers running we don't get too much debris in the pool. i'm not too worried about evaporative loss.
thanks!
