UV Sanitizer leaking/replacement

Hello. I had to pull my Paramount Ultra UV2 yesterday. It is 4 years old. Since it was installed w/o a bypass, I am bypassing it today so that I can run my pump. The leak is not at the in/out connections, it is at the internal join of the two halves of the unit where the clear disk (that runs the circumference of the unit) serves an indicator light. Do UV units add $900 worth of value? Should I replace? Never had one on previous pools. Thank you much. PN 004422202600.

See that big red/orange ball in the sky. It provides your pool more UV than it needs.
Cut the UV2 system out and dispose of it. Not worth the time amd effort to fix it.

What's the "SafeDip tester" that's shown in your signature?

Cut it out and follow the proper
FC/CYA Levels (which should be followed with or without a uv device)
We recommend using the Taylor k2006 or tf100/pro for managing your water chemistry as electronic testers tend to be unreliable and inaccurate.

Orp (which is what is used in your tester from my quick read of it) can be easily skewed by normal cya levels (above 20-30ppm) which further complicates things.
