Using both pool cover and solar cover at the same time??

The solar cover doesn't cover the water edge-to-edge, so stuff falls in.

The plastic cover that goes over the support posts is much more effective at keeping stuff out.

Wondering if the solar cover will be effective if the stretch cover is over it? Or, if the solar cover requires direct sun to work.

Thanks!!

Stuff is going to fall in to your pool. It's just a fact of an outdoor pool. The solar cover isn't there to prevent stuff from falling in, nor is it to enhance solar energy or anything, it is just a blanket of sorts to reduce evaporation and reduce heat loss.

Better to invest in a good pole and net if you haven't.

Thanks. So in line with your point, if a solar cover is to reduce heat loss, a proper pool cover over a solar cover won't hurt the effectiveness of heating.

Appreciate it
