Use of a pool cover on infinity edge pool?

Hi everyone - question on the use of a pool cover. I bought two 10'x16' pool covers for my pool as an experiment to see if I can raise my pool temp. However, I have an infinity edge pool - and I am wondering if this will be an issue when the filter kicks on. Water flows from the spa into the pool and then over the edge into a "moat" for lack of a better word. Then cycles back through. Will the cover stay put? The pool is 9x32. So, I'm wondering if I keep that extra foot on the cover, drape it up on the pool deck, and put something heavy on it to keep it in place? Thoughts on this? Does anyone have experience with an infinity pool and covers? I'm not sure if the pictures do a good job at showing the pool. Thanks, Trish!

You will likely need to find a way to anchor the cover to the side opposite the Infinity Edge. Otherwise you will find the cover rolled up in the moat.
