we have bought a pool for the first time at our home. It is 22,000 gallons according to the pool store the previous owner went to. It is in ground with a sand filter and inline chlorine feeder. I have the tfpro kit and have been trying to slam for a few days but the water is still really cloudy. I took in a sample to get tested today and my numbers for fc were double the pool company computer test output. I tested at 8 and they tested at 4.2. So I am not sure what to do next to help get the pool not cloudy and finally be able to use it. My cya is just under 30, my alkalinity is 100, ph is 7.2, calcium is 175.

Welcome to the forum!
You have the finest pool water chemistry test kit there is. Do not go to a pool store for test results.
Keep at the SLAM Process
You can safely swim in a pool as long as the FC is above the minimum and at or below SLAM level based on your CYA. You must also be able to see the bottom of the pool in the deep end of the pool.

I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool
