Just had Hayward Tristar 950 installed. Control panel did not come on. I put a new battery on the bias ad the one that came on it was dead. Have checked all power coming in and all looks correct. Could this just be a faulty display?
Which battery are you referring to? Have you tested the voltage between L1 and L2 on the pump? You can remove the Digital Control Interface and check that the cable is properly connected as shown in the Owner’s Manual. Otherwise you would need to call Hayward for a warranty replacement.
If you have Hayward automation then the display will not work as it is disconnected because the onboard controller and Omni use the same connector on the pump that is under the controller.
