(I don’t cover, BTW)… Where I live winter/ spring transition is SLOW, so we’ve had enough warm sunny days to melt the pool (leaving it nice and green because I slacked last fall and just unhooked everything and said I will deal with it in the spring), but also many 20-30 degree days and I know we are due for a couple more brief frosts that won’t last and maybe some snow again. So I don’t want to hook up the pump and filter yet… but I REALLY want to start pouring bleach in to get a head start on tackling the green before it turns neon. I highly doubt we will have any more deep freezes so I “might” be ok if I hook it up. But has anyone had success starting to just scoop leaves and stir water, add some chlorine, check the ph, rinse, repeat? We probably wont be consistently over 40 degrees for a couple more weeks.
