Hi,
I have a PVC pipe (no clue how old) that is for our sand filter backwash. It runs to the front of the yard. There are some very large cracks in it that cause a lot of water to come out right by the house. I've been trying to detach it here where it is circled in red, but I can get it unstuck at all.

Any tips for getting this PVC pipe removed from the black coupling? The other idea I had was to just cut the PVC pipe and add a new coupling where I cut it.
