We need to re-finish our pool -- get leaks solved (done), get pool deck leveled (scheduled), and get the pool shell resurfaced and the tile replaced.
Below is a pic of our current tile (awful). Some of it is popping off on one end due to the pool deck becoming unlevel, and we do have a leak at the waterline tiles because of about a dozen being missing, but we know that will be solved when the resurfacing and retiling job is completed.
However... we are trying to figure out about the tiles. Here is what we currently have:

Here is part of the missing section:

And here is the bullnose profile on our tiles:

Some bullnose tiles I see have the curved top but don't have a perfectly flat back; the back curves around, so I don't think it would work with what we have.
We're looking for ideas and options, suggestions and advise.
Obviously we don't have coping. Someone at a pool tile store in Orlando acted as though I was a third-class potential customer, said we had some inferior type of pool design, and that the pool would have to be replaced. What the $&@# ! That's obviously not happening. The variety of tile types is limited by the need for bullnose. Is there a solution to that? (other than replacing the pool).
