I’m thinking about increasing CH to 150, 175, or maybe even 200 to perhaps help the heater (see thread here) and also move CSI closer to 0.0 (even though pool is vinyl)

Current tests:
FC: 5
CC: 0
PH: 7.5
TA: 90
CH: 110
CYA: 55 (greater than 50, but less than 60 - may bump to 70 some day)
Temp. 86
CSI: -0.67

I’m a little nervous to add anything to the pool for fear of contaminants such as iron or copper. Are contaminants a concern with calcium chloride? Swim clear brand ? Leslie’s or other ?

If I’m just raising to 150, I could use cal-hypo but it would take about 9lbs to get there (could be done over a few sunny weeks I suppose)

Thoughts?

Yes, that all sounds like a plan. :goodjob: It's summer so you aren't using the heater, are you? CalHypo may be cheaper- do check. On days you add calcium don't add much else as the calcium can cloud up for a day or so.
Please add to your signature line that the pool is "14k gallon Vinyl..."
