I just wanted to post my thank you to the forum for how much this has helped me. It has been a problem solving journey. Here is a list of issues y'all have helped solve:
Initial pool boys adding too much CYA
Leak vs. Evaporation (it was a leak)
Sand blowing into the pool (Not pool sand)
Algae identification and correction with SLAM plus where's waldo
As a new pool owner, these combined problems were super difficult to diagnose as unique, separate problems, especially when advice was normally given as some random chemical that didn't work. The algae alongside the sand was particularly frustrating. I just cannot tell you how happy I was to find the weir foam algae.
Strangely enough, finding and fixing the problems has really made me love owning a pool. Just wanted to say thanks.

Yes, it's great being confident and in charge of your pool. Seems like one of the few things nowadays we can still do as owners and feel confident of the results. Enjoy.
