I did this test twice and similar results. I put in the "heaping scoop" of 0870 powder. Not too heaping, but enough to cover the spoon. Put it into the 10ml of water and it turns brick red.
I'm a little color blind, so figure maybe it's me. I continue. I add in the 0871 drops. The first time I stopped before it went clear because I figured there was no way my chlorine was that high. It was like 30 drops. The second time I kept going and it was 58 drops before it turned kind of clear.
So this is saying I have 29ppm FC?
Waterguru read at 9ppm around noon. It's been pegged at 10ppm until today. Assuming if chlorine is that high the accuracy is off.
The dual chlorine & ph box cylinders show the reading much darker than the high level. Like a dark orange. Had my color-abled girlfriend check this one for me.
I haven't added any chlorine since Sunday, and my Jandy Truclear has been at 50% since Monday.
Does this seem accurate? In total I added 2.5 gallons of 10.5% bleach over 4 days after starting at 1-2ppm then going to slam mode.
Reducing SWG to 20% for now.
