Hi out there! I'm new to pool ownership (water went in new build at the end of January) and VERY new to taking care of it myself (starting now, had a pool guy but just for one more week).

I have a Pool Style 5 way OTO test kit that the pool builder supplied, but I'm having trouble reading the results... the colors on the plastic guide are so similar I can't tell them apart very well, and I'm finding it very difficult to tell which one is closest to the sample color. (Attaching pic for reference. 1, 2, and 3 all look just about the same to me)

My question, for those who have experience with the TF Pro kits recommended here: How easy are the colors to read? are the differences between levels (for example between chlorine level of 3 vs 4) different enough to easily see, even if you're not super good at seeing color shading? I don't mind paying for a high quality kit, but I do want to make sure I can read it!

TIA!!

The powder FC test goes from obnoxiously pink to clear. Its super easy. It's pink one drop and then clear the next. Each drop is 0.5 FC, 8 drops is 4 FC (etc). It also has a yellow match test similar to yours but we dont recommend its use because its iffy at best, as you see. Err. Don't see.

And belated Welcome !!!
