Hey friends! I just bought my TF-Pro on June 5 and the smart stir is already not working.

I have to hold the power button to get it to mix. I’ve changed batteries… and that didn’t help 🙁

Has anyone ever had to do an exchange? Or return? So bummed…

Thanks!

Hi Jess, leave the battery compartment empty overnight and then replace with new batteries in the morning. Sounds weird, but it works every time. Let me know how it goes or send me an email [email protected] and I can follow up.

*Brand. Spanking. New. Out. Of. The. Package. Batteries.

You'd be surprised how often 'don't think they've been used' batteries have in fact, been used. Ask me how I know. 😁

Well that doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies - I did use brand spanking new out of package batteries. I have the batteries out, and I even sat the spinner device upside down in case there was remnants of water in it to drain out and have access to air.

Good news! Speed Stir worked perfectly this morning! 🙌🙌

Bad news! My son dropped our measuring cup for chlorine right to the bottom of the pool! Luckily is a super nice day for an unplanned swim!

No glass in or near the pool. Use plastic.

Well now I know!

I think originally I was worried about putting chemicals in a plastic cup. But now I see why no glass! Duh, Jessie…

My speedstir is about 15 years old, the unlit button no longer works, the lit button has the membrane worn off, but it still works like a champ. I don’t buy batteries anymore, I use rechargeables I got with high capacity amp hours. Use it year round for the pool and the fish tank, recharge the batteries about twice a year. Consider a magnetic cross instead of the ‘pill’. Works way better.
Kudos to the TFTK folks for a great product.

That rule also extends to anywhere outside at our house. Many years ago we had a tempered glass table on the back patio not far from the pool. It was shattered into a zillion pieces in a storm and took forever to clean up. Thank goodness no glass got into the pool! Since then, no glass of any kind allowed!

I think mine has the magnetic cross - and it does a good job whenever it stays laying flat! Sometimes I think it gets all excited and doesn’t stay put

I will say we’ve been very good about no glass beverage containers in the pool… cans and the Stanley cup are about the only things that venture to the pool.

It really didn’t even dawn on me about my measuring cup!!

Maybe it’s me…or my speed stir hates the evening hours but here we go again.

I went to check chems for the night… speed stir kinda turns on. I can hit the power, it’ll spin enough for me to get one or two drops, then it shuts off. I turn it on, one or two drops, off again.

Fresh batteries. I’ve wiped it down so it’s not wet. 🙁

@Sarah and Nate do I need to send an email for additional support?
